Joseph A. Insley is an Associate Professor in the School of Art and Design at Northern Illinois University and co-leads the Data, Devices and Interaction Laboratory (ddiLab), a joint effort between the Department of Computer Science and the School of Art and Design. He is also the Team Lead for Visualization and Data Analysis at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Science in Computer Science. His research interests include large-scale data visualization and analysis, high performance computing, advanced display technologies, and the integration of programming and computation in the arts.
